What are Viral Memes?
A Meme is Defined as
an element of a culture or system of behavior that may be considered to be passed from one individual to another by nongenetic means, especially imitation. – a humorous image, video, piece of text, etc., that is copied (often with slight variations) and spread rapidly by Internet users.
Basically, if you’ve seen it a million times and it’s been shared all over social media; it’s a meme. However, in this particular case we are referring specifically to images. Specifically photos of people making various facial expressions. These Viral Memes are used as “reactions” instead of typing out an explanation.
